Transformations
of Subjectivity in Techno Culture
This article
follows on what type of self transformation occurs within what can be called techno
culture. It is one thing to ask which transformations are imposed to
one’s subjectivity during practice of this culture’s backbone, the
techno event (as has been highlighted in the surrounding articles), but it is
another to delve into the understanding of which of these transformations can
be recognized as inherent possibilities for new subjectivities. Now that anyone
can have access to this type of highly significant experience, that we can,
within a defined time frame, modify our relation to time, space and others, as
well as to our own body, we must recognize that our subjectivity’s
frontiers, its limits and possibilities, have changed. This article thus starts
from what the techno experience renders accessible and, from these possibilities
on, tries and highlights consequent self transformations.
